WINTER PRE-DINNER SNACK AMONG FRIENDS WITH GRILLED VEGETABLE MINI BURGERS

  • 1 pack of Kioene mini grilled vegetable burgers
  • vegetable chips
  • For the cheese sauce
  • 15 g flour
  • 15 g butter
  • 160 ml vegetable broth
  • 60 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt
  • pepper and nutmeg
  • For the cocktails
  • 400 ml non-sparkling apple juice
  • 100 ml tonic water
  • 1 red apple
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • cinnamon powder

METHOD

  1. Prepare a velouté by toasting the butter with the flour for 2-3 minutes, dilute with the hot broth while stirring with a small whisk to avoid lumps and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and incorporate the Parmesan cheese. Remove from the heat and allow to cool while continuing to stir, or cover the sauce with cling film until serving. 
  2. Cook the grilled vegetable mini burgers as indicated on the package and serve them accompanied by vegetable chips, the cheese sauce and the apple juice cocktail. 
  3. To prepare the cocktail, wash the apple, cut 4 slices horizontally in the middle and brush them with tonic water to prevent them from oxidising. Cut the remaining pulp into 1 cm cubes and divide them among the 4 glasses. Also put a cinnamon stick in the glasses and pour in the apple juice. Complete with tonic water and garnish the glasses with apple slices. Before serving, season with a pinch of cinnamon powder. For an alcoholic version, replace the tonic water with Moscato wine.
