The New Year has just started and you are already giving up on your resolutions? Go right ahead, because it is time to make some realistic and attainable ones. If your resolutions include the classic goal of improving your diet and not overindulging in weekly gluttony, fear not, you are in very good company. Such generic goals, however, tend to be rather vague and so you end up on 15 January, after a week of eating just salad, stuffing yourself with pizza and chips, abandoning your dreams of glory forever. You know what? You can do better! Our gift for the New Year are 3 easy and achievable tips to look at your diet with new eyes and enjoy Kioene vegetable burgers!
1. Vegetables, vegetables everywhere!
Let’s start with the - sometimes too - obvious: vegetables are good for you. That is why they cannot be missing from your recipes. Fill your plates with nutritious salads and soups. To make them special, combine them with Kioene veggie burgers: your recipes will be an explosion of flavour! A tip within a tip: try some vegetables you have never tasted.
2. Say goodbye to sugar
Too much sugar tends to lead to inflammation. So beware of fizzy drinks and overly sweet snacks: better to consume them only once in a while! This year, then, when you get a craving for a sweet treat that is hard to resist, try satisfying it with a banana or berries mixed with yoghurt and cereal - your body will thank you!
3. Try wholemeal
Whole-wheat flours are becoming increasingly popular both on supermarket shelves and in our homes. Whole-grain products contain a lot of fibre, which helps the body during digestion, especially after the Xmas and New Year holidays, when large meals are the order of the day. Once a week, then, choose to eat wholemeal bread, perhaps in a sandwich with a good Kioene vegetable burger, or prepare a breakfast with oats and oil seeds.
And there you have it: eating well and feeling better will be easier than you thought! Remember that small and constant changes are often better than short-term, extreme actions. Happy New Year and may it be even better than the last!
