Are you also back from your holidays with a thousand good intentions and a great desire to look for a sustainable routine to improve your days without too much effort? Well, you’re in good company!

Starting over after the holidays can be challenging, especially if you want to revise your habits a little. Because we know you’ve spent the last month telling yourself “it’ll be all change, all the time in September!”; we all do the same.

This is the time, then, for a real change, starting with the little things, such as these 5 tips for creating a balanced routine after returning from your summer break. Wanna bet our veggie “meatballs” can help you too?

  1. Fill up on snacks
If you struggle to find time for a full lunch during the day, snacks are the ideal solution. You will not arrive exhausted at dinner and you will have enough energy for the rest of the day. If you need to concentrate, in fact, the last thing you need is a rumbling stomach. The solution is to take some dried or fresh fruit with you. If you have a little extra time, our vegetable “meatballs” are also great as snacks: prepare them in advance and enjoy them cold!

  2. Drink, drink a lot
This is basic advice for any summer day, but drinking plenty of water is useful in any season. In fact, our body is mostly composed of water, which is essential for metabolising and transporting carbohydrates and proteins. The best thing to do, therefore, is to always carry a bottle of cool water with you and make sure you stay hydrated.

  3. Don’t give up sport
Exercise is essential: whether it is running, doing yoga, going to the gym or to the pool, always try to find time for some movement. To avoid overdoing it, start with workouts of about half an hour and stick with them. If you are afraid that laziness will take over your day, get a friend involved and motivate each other!

  4. Prioritise protein
As we have mentioned in this article, protein is very important for your body. It provides energy and helps the body recover after a sports session, fortifying it. Know what else is rich in protein? Kioene veggie “meatballs” and burgers, perfect for a quick lunch or a light dinner.

  5. Create an evening routine
Your mind needs a break from all the commitments you have during the day. But it is not enough to rest your head on the pillow to find a moment of relaxation: everything that happens before you get into bed also counts. It is a good idea, in fact, to follow an evening routine that helps you clear your mind and relax so that you can sleep well.
