MINI CAKES WITH GOLDEN PEARS AND PECANS

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Kioene chocolate and coconut mini cakes
  • 2 firm Williams pears
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • a handful of pecan kernels

METHOD

  1. Peel the pears, quarter them, remove the core and cut them into 0.5 cm cubes. Coarsely chop the walnuts. 
  2. Heat the coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan, add the pears, stir, sprinkle with sugar and fry over a moderate flame for 2 to 3 minutes until they start to brown slightly. 
  3. In the meantime, bake the mini cakes according to the instructions on the package. Arrange the mini cakes on a plate, sprinkle with caramelised pears, sprinkle with pecans and serve
